Comedy vs Tragedy

As part of our Ancient Greek topic, we have been researching the origins of the comedy and tragedy masks.  We learned how they help the actors portray feelings and project their voices.
We decided to design our own version and began by looking at our own facial expressions using mirrors.  Miss Mapp had a lot of fun making us pull funny faces!

We then planned two different designs.
Before getting some feedback from a peer.
Then we decided on our final design and began to create our own mask using card and tissue paper.  We will finally add Modroc then paint next week.

Watch this space for our final masterpieces!

Measuring

During our maths session this week, we have been estimating and measuring capacity.
