Goodbye Bude!

What an amazing week we've had.  We've been able to try some fantastic activities and made lots of new friends.
Thank you all at Adventure International, especially Vinnie, Jenks, Charles and Ross, our tutors.

Crabbing

This morning, we had time for one last activity...we went crabbing and rock pooling.

We even managed to catch a few!

Presentation Night!

On our last night we had a presentation which celebrated an amazing week.

Each tutor group also nominated a child from each school to become the Joker, Bottle or Superstar of the week.

Our winners were...

Leah wins the Joker award for keeping us all entertained and laughing the whole week.

Georgia wins the Bottle award for overcoming her fears this week.

Faith wins Superstar for being amazing all week.

Although we can only give 3 awards, all the children have been brilliant all week and have made us so proud.  Well done, Albert Village Crew!

And then there were waves..

Wow!  The waves today were perfect for bodyboarding!  We all had an amazing time trying to catch that perfect wave.  Even attempting a few bodyboarding moves - the Mario Car, the 360 and even the Superman.  Mr Jenkin could master all but one...we've decided he needs to come back next year to work on his skills.

The other challenge of the day might have been our hardest yet...Team Trail!

But it helped build our team skills, leading to the best part of the trail - the water slide!

Talent Night

As always there were many groups, and individuals, taking part in the talent show on Wednesday night from Albert Village  There was everything from break dancing to singing.

We even had a winner...

Well done, Ben!  Third place for singing solo.

What a busy day!

Today we had a choice of mountain biking or abseiling, luckily we all got our first choice.

So, some of us made our way to the highest point of the building and channeled our inner Bear Grylls, while abseiling down the side.

While the rest of us showed off our biking skills on the fantastic trail along the canal, fields and woods in the nearby area.

Our other activity of the day was caving.  We had to find our way through an intricate maze under the building, helping our teammates along the way, while trying to avoid those pesky sea badgers! Luckily, the instructors had cleared them all out before we got there...phew!

Happy Birthday, Michael!

Today, Michael got the best birthday gift ever...being woken up by the teachers singing happy birthday!  What a treat!

He even got a special birthday throne to sit on, while the rest of Adventure International sang to him after breakfast.

Fancy Dress Night

Tonight the children did a fantastic job of transforming themselves into different characters.
Fingers crossed we win again this year!

Sun, Sea and Sand!

On our second day, we headed to the beach to try out our surfing skills.  However, the waves weren't cooperating but, it didn't stop us having an amazing time!  We challenged the teachers to a sandcastle  competition and then got in the sea to play lots of games.

For our second activity of the day we headed to the river and went kayaking.

Karaoke Night

The entertainment last night was karaoke, and we had a few brave souls willing to take part.

We even had a winner.  Well done, Hannah, third place!

Who likes heights?

Today our activities involved heights...lots of heights!

We split into two groups, with one of us attempting the brand new high ropes course, while the other tackled the climbing wall.  We then changed activities after lunch.

All of the children attempted something outside of their comfort zones today, and some of the teachers,  we are so proud of them all.

Well done Bude crew!

First Morning

After a rather late night, and an early start, we woke up to another sunny day.  Our first activity...the morning run or swim - unfortunately the hot tap is on the blink!

Welcome to Bude!

We arrived in Bude around 5pm yesterday to glorious sunshine!

After a lovely meal the children then met with their tutors for games on the beach.
Then it was time for the disco!
